POET BAR IS MAKING HISTORY WITH POETRY SLAM FOR MLK CELEBRATION!!! Mon Cherie is gracing the FRONT COVER of Phoenix Urban News Source, The Write Up Newspaper (December 15th Issue) featuring her commitment and dedication to providing academic scholarships to inner-city youth representing five (5) Phoenix-based high schools honoring the life work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through poetry. This event will be hosted by Comedian Extraordinare, BIG BABY, as seen on BET's Comic View, Comedy Central and Steve Harvey Show with SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCES in Spoken Word, Hip Hop, and Greek Steppin! The Poetry Slam is on January 19, 2008, at 2pm at Betty H. Fairfax High School (59th Ave. & Baseline), Laveen, AZ. ADMISSION is only $5. ALL AGES are welcome so bring the entire family.
